The expectation is that every Board member serves on at least one committee or taskforce.

  • Committee – closed group focused on specified ongoing task/responsibility of the Board.
  • Taskforce – time limited group focused on the pursuit of specific goals


Executive Committee

Chaired by Rick Doucet, Board Chair and comprised of the other Board Officers Steve Ronik, Treasurer; Dennis Regnier, Secretary; Barbara Daire, Past Chair; and Dale Shreve, President & CEO.

Investment Committee

Typically meets quarterly (via conference call) to review mhca’s investment portfolio performance and recommend any changes in the allocation of the investments and/or any changes to the investment policy. To prevent a conflict of interest – if you or your organization use Strategic Investment Advisors to manage your or your organization’s assets, you may not serve on this committee.

Nominating Committee

This Committee, chaired by mhca’s Immediate Past Board Chair, provides oversight and establishes the process for nominations and elections for the mhca Board of Directors. It also presents a slate for election of the officers of the Corporation.

Membership Committee

Consults with staff, and leads Board and general membership’s involvement, in member recruitment, on-boarding and engagement. Meets at the calling of the Chair 3-4x per year – telephone conference or in conjunction with a mhca quarterly conference.
