The Future Has Already Happened - Looking Back To Predict The Future

Presented by: Founder & CEO of OpenMinds Monica Oss

Many futurists think that the events of the recent past allow us to predict the immediate future. In this opening keynote, we will take a look at the health and human service field over the past three decades and discuss the implications of the past on the future of the behavioral health field. In addition to the ‘walk down memory lane’ of the key developments - and key players - in the mental health and addiction field over the past 35 years, we’ll discuss the events and trends that will likely shape the future of treatment for consumers and the organizations that serve them.

This workshop will provide a snapshot of the health and human service workforce landscape, share ‘best practice’ methods for attracting and retaining key talent, and look at how value-based reimbursement and technology are changing the workforce management equation. We’ll focus on how to optimize your current talent management initiatives and prepare for the future of tech-enabled service delivery.

Keeping Yours - An Executive Guide to Competing for Consumers & Revenue

Presented by: Founder & CEO of OpenMinds Monica Oss

Payers, health plans, and consumers are looking for more for their money - literally. Across the board, how services are selected is changing. New contracting models for new services are emerging - and gaining marketshare. Executives of traditional service provider organizations need to respond by developing a new approach to marketing and business development strategies. This new approach - in assessing markets, strategic market positioning, and business development - is the focus of this workshop.

Come for the Work, Stay for the Culture - Understanding How Motivational Factors Evolve Throughout the Employee Lifecycle

Presented by: Datis President & CEO Erik Marsh

The things that attract new talent to your organization aren’t necessarily the same things that make employees want to stay at your organization five, ten, or fifteen years. Understanding how individual motivation evolves throughout the employee lifecycle is the first step to developing the basis of a strong engagement and retention strategy that addresses the varying needs of your modern and diverse workforce. During this presentation, we’ll borrow from Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to understand the progression of motivation throughout the employee lifecycle, as well as factors that influence an employee’s decision to stay or leave. By looking at employee motivation more holistically, you’ll be able to develop an engagement strategy that better addresses the needs of your workforce.
