Group Room Rate Dates: For the Opal Sands and Opal Sol, the group room rate begins on Sunday, February 22 and ends Friday, February 27. For the Sandpearl Resort, the group room rate begins on Saturday, February 21 and ends on Saturday, February 28.

Room Reservation Guarantee and Cancellation Policy: All reservations must be guaranteed by a credit card. Full room and tax will be charged seven days prior to arrival. All reservations that are not cancelled at least seven days prior to arrival will be charged as a no show to the individual.

Cancellation Policy for all three resorts: Reservations not cancelled with the hotel at least seven days prior to arrival are charged for the full length of stay.

Group Room Rate Availability and Waitlist: Rooms are available at the mhca group rate at all three resorts until sold out. Once this occurs, mhca will create a waiting list for all three resorts. Please contact Gena Matthews at gmatthews@mhca.com to be placed on the waitlist. 

Reservations & Cancellations

1)  RESERVATIONS FOR MORE THAN 3 ROOMS

If you want to reserve more than 3 rooms, please send an email to Gena Matthews at gmatthews@mhca.com?Subject=Hotel Assistance (3+) - 2026 Clearwater Beach.

2)  RESERVATIONS IF ROOM BLOCK IS FULL

If you try to make Hotel Reservations and are told that our block is full and need assistance getting into the hotel, or if you have any problems with the hotel's reservations website, please send an email to Gena Matthews at gmatthews@mhca.com?Subject=Hotel Assistance (Full) - 2026 Clearwater Beach.

3)  CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel a room reservation, please send an email to Gena at gmatthews@mhca.com?Subject=Room Cancellation - 2026 Clearwater Beach rather than cancelling the room yourself with the hotel. The hotel will return all Cancelled rooms to their General Sales block, not to mhca's room block, thus these rooms will be unavailable to other mhca members trying to make reservations.  By letting Gena know about the cancellation, she can work with the hotel to make sure your cancelled room(s) are in our block and available to other members.
