CONFERENCE CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
We deeply regret to announce the cancellation of mhca’s Summer Conference that was to take place August 11-13 in San Diego. This is an enormous disappointment, not only to our members and staff, but also to the exhibitors, sponsors and speakers who were due to attend the conference.
After months of quarantine, we were looking forward to reconnecting with our friends and colleagues from across the country. However, based on feedback from members, along with the recent reports of new outbreaks delaying the reopening of businesses in San Diego, we believe cancelling the event is the only prudent course of action.
We understand that most of you are presently inundated with Zoom meetings, webinars, virtual conferences – so we will not be offering a virtual conference at this time, although we are looking into offering a hybrid format for our Fall Conference in Memphis (live streaming sessions so those who are unable to attend can still participate virtually).
We thank everyone who took the time to share their views in our recent member survey. We will continue to monitor this outbreak and facilitate the sharing of resources among our members electronically through our online Member Documents library, Listserv conversations and emails. If there is something else mhca might do now, or in the coming months, that you would find helpful or beneficial, please let us know.
Please cancel your own individual reservations with the hotel, as well as any airline, car rental or other travel arrangements made in anticipation of Summer Conference in San Diego. If you have any immediate concerns, please let us know. Thanks!
