 Innovation Incubator

Innovation Incubator

Presented by: Henry Ford Health System Division Head, Academic Internal Medicine, Dr. David Willens, Senior Staff Psychologist Dr. Erin Tobin, Dr. Doree Ann Espiritu and Emergency Medicine Health Psychologist Jennifer Peltzer-Jones; University of Michigan Associate Professor Paul N. Pfeiffer, Afia, Inc. Co-founder Jeremy Nelson, Incite Consulting Solutions' Kara Sweeney Guerriero and  X2AI Co-founder and CEO Michiel Rauws

Join us for a facilitated, collaborative discussion following brief presentations on three innovative efforts. Representatives from the Henry Ford Health System will talk about community integration, using HIT to impact patient care and addressing the larger priorities of the health system such as value-based care and utilization. Representative from the University of Michigan and the VA Center for Clinical Management Research will talk about the structure-process-outcome approach to quality measurement and the challenges in using patient reported mental health outcomes to measure quality. They will discuss the rationale, design and early findings of a study that uses automated collection methods (IVR, text messaging and web surveys) to explain variation in outcomes across multiple clinic sites, and whether outcomes can be reliably and validly used as measures of quality. Founder and CEO of X2 will introduce Tess - a Mental Health Chatbot that engages in text message conversations to coach people through tough times to build resilience in the same way a therapist would. Northwestern University conducted a randomized controlled trial that revealed interactions with Tess led to significantly reduced symptoms of depression (by 13%) and anxiety (by 18%). Come join the conversation!

Some call it agile, some call it lean - Sheridan and his team call it joyful. If you’re looking for an inspirational blueprint for creating a more passionate team, running smarter meetings and building cultural training into your hiring process, don’t miss this opportunity to hear from the guy who literally wrote the book.

Insights into Behavioral Health Marketing

Presented byHope Network’s EVP of Marketing Michael Ranville, Creative Director Chris McMorrow, and Senior Writer Adam Barr

To be a better marketer you don’t need another seminar, five-step branding presentation, or list of social media strategies that lead you in circles. You need something more real, more usable - and that’s what we plan on providing. So think about your marketing challenges. Or even the opportunities. The big ones. The hard ones. The ones that keep you up at night. What is your CEO and board saying that falls on you to solve? What are the roadblocks your up against? Yeah—think of those, and bring them to the table on August 16. This will be a rapid-fire discussion where you'll learn how to overcome the creative processes and ways of thinking that only get in the way. We will solve real problems. We’ll solve your problems. And we will cover topics like:

  • How to tell your story (because most people don’t care what you do)
  • How to craft the right strategy (it's not rocket science)
  • How to frame a message people will remember (and respond to)
  • How to reach the right people (hint: it’s about “who” not “how many”)
  • How to raise more money (make it personal, curated, experiential)

And in the end we’ll walk through a case study that ties everything we discuss together.
