Customer Satisfaction Management System

Developed by our Outcomes Research Committee, a standardized model customer satisfaction instrument (inclusive of both client satisfaction and referral source satisfaction components) and users' guides, including directions and recommendations for use of end data in an organization's CQI program.  The Customer Satisfaction Management System also includes staff and interdepartmental surveys.

MHCA's National Data Center provides analysis of information collected by the instruments and provides to users an opportunity for this program to positively position provider organizations in a highly competitive and accountable healthcare environment. Licensing for use of the client and referral source instruments is required; however, MHCA members do not pay the licensing fee.

Affiliations, Mergers & Acquisitions Manual:
Guidelines for Pursuing
Corporate Integration for
Behavioral Health Services Providers

In 1995, MHCA created a guidebook to assist members in their efforts to acquire, be acquired, merge or affiliate with other providers. The "Affiliations, Mergers and Acquisitions Manual" was well received and soon co-published with the National Council. By 2004, another nine years of practice had resulted in some successful mergers and an assortment of affiliations and outright acquisitions among MHCA's membership. There was sufficient activity to warrant a second publishing of the manual with a "lessons learned" component taken from actual experiences. All members then and since have received a copy of the 2nd Edition. Copies of the "Mergers Manual" (subtitled "Guidelines for Pursuing Corporate Integration for Behavioral Services Providers") are available for purchase by nonmembers: $200 including postage.
